A tanker explosion rocked Onitsha in Anambra state in the early hour of Friday, January 28.
The fire incident which occurred at Obodo Ukwu junction by Owerri road was said to have been caused by a petrol tanker at about 8:30am.
The fully loaded tanker was said to have fell and went up in flames after spilling its content on the road.
Residents have attributed the accident to bad road, lamenting that heavy duty vehicles still ply the road not minding its bad status.
Good and properties including residential houses, ware houses, shops, tricycles, etc were said to have been gutted down before fire fighters arrived the scene.
