- Between 2003 and 2011, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, demonstrated and capably exercised wide ranging leadership roles to superintend over many critical aspects of Abia State affairs in the custody of the Abia State House of Assembly, as provided in the Constitution.
- Namely: House Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs; House Committee on Anti-corruption; and House Committee on Environment.

- In 2019 general elections, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, retained his position by virtue of renomination and re-election at the polls, made manifest in the victory of PDP in the polls.
