Settlements Of Herdsmen Promotes Peace In Kano State – Fulani Leader

The leader of Waddau Herdsmen settlement Ardo Alhaji Geza has described governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s Ruga programme as an avenue towards peaceful co-existence between the farmers and Fulani herdsmen in the state, which is an initiative that can bring peace and unity in Nigeria if fully implemented.

He stated this in a chat with AFNews reporter at the settlement, adding that it is important to settle Herdsmen together and provides them with all the necessary facilities that guarantees their livelihood so as to ensure peace and unity in the state and the nation in general, where he discloses that there was no clash between farmers and herdsmen since the introduction of Riga settlements across the state.

Ardo Geza added that ” from what we are witnessing in kano state, there is no clash between herdsmen and our brothers the farmers which is a pleasant development that was brought by governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, where he assured that the cordial relationship between the two related sides would continue especially at present when this nation needs peace at all levels.

In his brief remark, the national president of the Blital Moroobe Pastoralist Association of Nigeria,(BLIMPAN), Ali Rimin Dako told AFNews in kano that genuine implementation of Ruga projects in Nigeria would be a lasting solution to Herdsmen/Farmers Clashes like what is now happening in kano where farmers and herdsmen enjoy peace and good understandings in the state.

Our reporter who visited some herdsmen settlements in some parts of kano state, reported that there is good relationship between the farmers and herdsmen that are stationed at closer areas which is a testimony that in a near future, there would be no more clashes in the state.
