A former Minority Whip in the Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for graciously signing the much anticipated South East Development Commission bill into law and described him as a good friend of Ndigbo.

The former Lawmaker while enumerating importance of the Commission to the South East lauded Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives for being the brain behind what the people of the South East are about to enjoy, pointing out that his unique leadership quality and love for Ndigbo combined to give the people a cheering desire.
He thanked God that at last under President Tinubu, the 3Rs vision of reconciliation, rehabilitation and re-integration have become a reality as it will help in addressing the nagging and begging issues confronting the region.
Continuing, the former Minority Whip stated that the Commission apart from assisting in addressing the issue of marginalization faced by the region since the end of civil war, it will definitely address infrastructural deficit in the area, provide quality education and advance our school infrastructure and it’s standard, adding that quality healthcare and youth restive will be addressed.
Hon. Ukoha also thanked the leadership of the National Assembly for the rapid acceleration of the bill that has not seen the light of the day in both 8th and 9th Assemblies, maintaining that such is an indication of a remarkable leadership of President Bola Tinubu, who has demonstrated the Renewed Hope agenda to the South East region.
