Release Nnamdi Kanu To Us; Companies Are Leaving South East Over Insecurity – Ogah Pleads With Tinubu | WATCH VIDEO

Honourable Amobi Godwin Ogah, the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency cum Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to help combat the rising insecurity in the south east through the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Ogah while making the call, lamented that criminality being perpetrated by imposters and enemies of the Igbos, under the guise of supporters of Kanu has resulted to several companies leaving the southeast region thereby affecting the economy of the region.

The lawmaker while appearing on TVC’s programme; “The Hallowed Chambers” described Tinubu as a lover of the Igbos and charged him to show his love for the Igbos by releasing Nnamdi Kanu even if it means releasing him to the National Assembly for a peaceful nation.

In Ogah’s words;

“Those who are behind the sit at home order are enemies of Ndigbo and Nigeria because I don’t see any reason for that. Asking our people to sit at home does not really mean you love them because an average Igbo man and woman is a trader and its on a daily basis ; so it is what they do today that they will eat tomorrow.

“Many companies are leaving the southeast as a result of all these sit at home. There are many ways that we can show that we are being marginalised  but not by asking our people to sit at home. If you ask them to sit at home, does Mr president know that they are sitting at home? Ogah queried.

He noted also that the release of Kanu will end the agitation and outcry over marginalisation which is the major reason for the sit at home order.

“The best he (Tinubu) can do for us as a gift is to release Nnamdi Kanu for us”.

“The major reason for that sit at home is that Nnamdi Kanu should be released. I beg Mr President to release Nnamdi Kanu for us even if it means releasing him to the National Assembly members so that we can have a Nigeria where everyone will be happy and relax.”

He added that the release of Kanu will also unveil those behind the criminality in the southeast under the guise of being supporters of Kanu.

“Nnamdi Kanu should be released. I believe that Mr President loves us; let him show that love to us the Igbos; we are not asking for much. Give us Nnamdi Kanu, then if this continues, we will know what is happening to us”.
