Corporal Chinedu Nwachukwu attached with the Rapid Respond Squad (RRS), of the Abia State Police Command, has been found guilty of r-aping a female student of the Abia State Polytechnic, Aba.

ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had reported that students of the Abia Poly on Thursday, September 23, protested an alleged r-ape of a female student by a policeman.

According to report, some police officers raided an off-campus students’ hostel arresting 3 males and 3 female students. Claiming to have perceived the smell of weed while passing the area.

The officers were said to have later released 5 of the students but held the 18-year-old female student and r-aped her, to the point that she was hospitalized.

Nwachukwu who was arrested afterwards, went through an Orderly Room Trial in Umuahia, where he was found guilty of r-aping the student while she was in detention.

The suspect has now been dismissed from the Nigerian Police Force and is expected to face trial before a regular court on charges bordering on r-ape, extortion, and others.
