An Ibadan-based socialite, Olaleye Ajibola, popularly known as Gatuso has been killed by gunmen who are suspected to be armed robbers in Oyo State.
The deceased who was reportedly planning to propose to his girlfriend on Sunday, January 24, met his death on Saturday at the Town House Hotel NTC Iyaganku.
According to reports, Ajibola arrived at the hotel with some of his friends when he ran into the robbers, who were fleeing after stealing valuables belonging to employees and guests.
Spokesperson of the Oyo State Police Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, who confirmed the incident said the gunmen had arrived the hotel at about 12:24am, pretending to be guests. The victim who was on call at that moment got shot by the robbers.
