ABIA 2023: Otti’s Guber Race Gets A Boost, As Umuehim Community Endorses Him | WATCH VIDEO + PHOTOS

The People of Umuehim Nvosi in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State have thrown their weight behind the gubernatorial aspiration of the Abia State Labour Party governorship candidate, Dr. Alex Otti OFR.

 

In a press release presented by Dr. Obioma Nwaogbe at the Umuehim Village council hall on Friday 30th September 2022, he reeled out the impact of Alex Otti on the life of the people of that community, which ranges from empowerment program, road construction, building of village council hall, streetlight and other numerous achievements.

Dr. Obioma Nwaogbe went further to state that all these projects were achieved by Otti even without being a governor and based on that the community have decided to endorse Dr. Alex Otti OFR for the 2023 governorship election in Abia State.

The community leaders went further to call on all Abians to throw their weight behind Otti, because they believe that he is the only one that can rewrite the history of Abia State positively.

The press release reads:

Gentlemen of the press and distinguished people of Umuehim Nvosi, good morning and welcome to this very important press briefing.

 

First of all, we want to use this great opportunity to thank our Son and Brother, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) for all the developmental strides he has so far made in Umuehim. He started this struggle in 2015 and has not relented to date. He has constructed an access road from Isieketa in Isiala Ngwa South LGA that cuts across Umuoru Umuehim Nvosi to Nbawsi in Isiala Ngwa North LGA and other access road leading to Uzoigwe (railway crossing) still in Umuehim Nvosi. But his efforts to complete the old Okpokiri Road were   aborted by the activities of some unpatriotic citizens and enemies of progress in the village.

 

I want you to recall that in 2021, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) enhanced the empowerment of more than 50 Umuehim Nvosi youths through the Covid-19 loan from the Central Bank of Nigeria. He has single headedly sponsored our yearly football match (Ehi na Uguru Ancient Kingdom Autonomous Community), every December since 2020.

 

Furthermore, he built a new befitting Village Council Hall and fully equipped it for his people (Umuehim Nvosi).

 

This year 2022, since July till date he has fixed a street light in the whole of Umuehim Nvosi village. This street light has helped to reduce the security challenges we have been facing in the village.

 

Ehi Day celebration every 31^st December was also initiated by Dr. Alex Chioma Otti. His reason was to bring together, the Umuehim sons and daughters at home and abroad.

 

However, he is not yet the governor, but he has done a lot of infrastructural development for his people. ‘’Our people said that eji esi na ulo maranma puo ama’’. We can recall, that some decades back, Umuehim Nvosi was hardly mentioned in the government, nor known by anybody in Abia or Nigeria at large if not this time that our lovely and illustrious son, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) came to contest for the Governorship position.

 

With all these he has done in Umuehim Nvosi and other parts of Abia State (Isiala Ngwa South, Isiala Ngwa North, Isukwuato, Arochukwu) when is not yet a governor, it then means that if he becomes the Governor, the sky will be his beginning.

 

We should see him as a man deemed fit to be the Governor of Abia state because he will help to rebuild Abia to meet the world standard.

 

Finally, We the people of Umuehim Nvosi (his brothers and sisters) want to thank him for all these developmental projects and also tell him to go ahead with the 2023 Governorship election. The people of Umuehim Nvosi want to tell you that we are solidly behind you. We will come out massively to give you our votes and support.
