ONYEJEOCHA IS THE MOST QUALIFIED TO BE SPEAKER – KACHI IHEME

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, Chief Dr Kachi Iheme has called on the leadership of the party to allow common sense and equity prevail in its handling of the jostle for the leadership of the 9th Assembly of the National Assembly.

Chief Iheme who spoke in a telephone interview with AFN, said that the candidacy of the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Honourable Nkiruka Onyejeocha, is a perfect one, considering that she is the most qualified member to assume the position.

“Remember, it is the party’s policy that any member attempting to decamp from another party to the APC be given automatic ticket, to shore up the party’s hold on the green chamber,” he said.

Iheme also argued that Honourable Onyejeocha has the requisite capacity, understands the gymnastics of politics, has the industrial acumen, has shown dexterity and strong political character. He also stressed that on the basis of gender parity and in the spirit of political zoning, she should be considered for the plum job of the speakership.
