The African Democratic Congress, on Thursday suspended some of its officials in Ondo State for supporting the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Rotimi Akeredolu and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Eyitayo Jegede.
This is coming two days to the October 10 governorship election in the state.
According to the party, some of its officials declared support for Akeredolu, while other gave their support to Jegede.
The Vice Chairman of the party, Peter Edeh, while speaking at the party’s grand finale rally in Akure, said the members have been suspended for anti-party activities.
He named Ibrahim Rasheed as new acting Chairman and Timothy Akinola as acting Secretary in Ondo.
National Chairman, Ralphs Nwosu, represented by Ibrahim Suleiman, described the party’s candidate, Dapo Adelegan, as the most credible politician.
Adelegan while speaking on the Saturday election said he is confident of victory on Saturday.
