Executives of Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC) Abia State chapter on Monday 26th of August 2019, visited the operational headquarters of Abia Facts Newspaper in Umuahia on a courtesy call.
Speaking during the visit, Chairman of the Council in Abia State, Mr Chidiebere Nwadike said the aim of their visit was to seek for ways by which the media house could help them to bring their activities and objectives to the world through their well-established platform.
Mr. Nwadike thanked Abia Facts Newspaper for what it is doing in the media sphere, noting that the media house has become a formidable organization which started very small and has grew big in Abia State.
The Chairman used the medium to highlight the Council’s 7 points agenda which include; Functional Seaport, functional International Standard airport, connecting Ala Igbo to Modern Railway, connecting Ala Igbo to National Electric Grid (for industrial revolution), connecting Ala Igbo to Industrial Gas Pipeline, re-opening of department of Chemical Engineering at UNN that was shut down since 1970 after the war and construction of the federal road that lead to Abuja, from Anambra Otuocha/ Nmiata to kogi by extension to Abuja.
He however warned that the vehicle that can make all of these to work perfectly is commitment, respect for one another and acting with one voice.
In his speech, the Publisher/Editor-in-chief of Abia Facts Newspaper Mr. Emenike Iroegbu thanked the organization for finding time out of their very tight engagements to visit him.
He however advised them to always remain focus and committed if they wish to achieve their set agenda, noting that with total commitment towards their course, they will go far.
Mr. Iroegbu promised to partner with them in their laudable objectives so as to make the South east a better place.
