2023 ELECTION: Ohafia-Ohafia Movement Endorses Peter Obi, Alex Otti, Says They Are Most Competent

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi and the the party’s governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, have been adopted by Ohafia-Ohafia Movement as their most preferred candidates, days to the February 11 and March 25, 2023 elections respectively.

The Ohafia-Ohafia Movement on Wednesday, February 22, noted that they resolved to heap their support behind Obi and Otti after a rigorous evaluation of all the candidates and came to the conclusion that the duo are the best candidates to drive the affairs of Nigeria and Abia state respectively as they have an excellent track record, has no corruption record, are democratic, competent and has the capacity to tackle the varying challenges facing the state and Nigeria at large.

“Their (Alex Otti and Peter Obi) track records show a great antecedence of anti-corruption practices in public office
and performance of delivering the dividend of democracy to their constituency when they
occupied elected office.

They are both successful business professionals with a proven record of hard work, excellent management skills, good stewardship of resources, and achieving unprecedented prosperity and success in their businesses. They have shown verifiable records, integrity, competence, character, and commitment to providing the highly needed leadership in our nation.

They are poised to end the insecurity, revive our broken power system and economy, industrialize our nation, move us from consumption to production, and increase our human capital to a level that we can compete with any developed country in the world. They are non-tribal nationalists, compassionate towards the poor and oppressed, with a pragmatic approach to reform our broken academic system, tackle the plights of our growing unemployed youths, and much more that has given hope to many that a new Nigeria is possible” The movement stated in a press release co- signed by Rev. S.O.E. Ullu (President) and Dr. Sunny Anya (secretary).

They lamented that the people of Ohafia in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia state, have been politically neglected since 1999, however, Labour Party and it’s governorship candidate, counted Ohafia, the third largest city in Abia, worthy to produce a deputy governorship candidate by selecting their son, Engineer Ikechukwu Emetu and giving two other sons of Ohafia tickets.

Ohafia-Ohafia Movement pledged their unwavering support for all candidates of Labour Party and called on all well meaning Abians and Nigerians, home and abroad to support same.

For President and the Vice President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
2. Mr. Ibe Okwara Osonwa / Labour Party
For Ohafia/Arochukwu Federal House of Representative seat.
3. Mr. Kalu Mba Nwoke (Etiokwe) / Labour Party
For Abia North Senatorial Federal Seat.
4. Mr. Alex Otti and Ikechukwu Emetu / Labour Party
For Governor and Deputy Governor Abia State.
