2023: ‘Obidient Movement’ Not A Threat To APGA – Soludo Boasts | READ DETAILS
Ahead of the 2023 general election, Anambra state governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has through his special adviser on Political Matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu said, that the troop of supporters rooting for the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi popularly called ‘Obidients’ poses no threat to his party, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
According to a statement released by Obiogbolu, the ‘Obidients only poses threat to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and not APGA in its 2023 quests.
He described the ‘Obidients’ as an offshoot of the PDP, adding that “APGA remains the third largest political party in Nigeria, considering the number of political offices it has won.”
In his words;
“APGA remains the third largest political party in Nigeria, considering the number of political offices it has won.
“APGA has a State governor, members of the National Assembly and members of the state assemblies.
“APGA does not consider the wave of the ‘Obidient Movement’ as a threat towards achieving its set goals in 2023.
“The LP and the ‘Obidient Movement’ are offshoots of the PDP. Therefore, they pose a big threat to PDP, not APGA”.
