The State Commandant of the agency, Sule Momodu who disclosed this in Katsina said, 92 out of the arrested suspects are students of tertiary institutions in the state.
He noted that the agency had series of meetings with heads of tertiary institutions in the state on the need to conduct drug tests for students, to address the menace.
According to Momodu, the command equally seized over 701 kilograms of various drugs and secured 54 convictions within the period under review.
He lamented over the high level of drug abuse and trafficking in the state, stating that almost all categories of people have been involved in the illicit activities in the year 2020.
He promised that the agency will develop strategies which will deal with drug abuse and other drug related crimes to fight it to a standstill in the year 2021.
