The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, has listed the Commission’s achievements in recent times.
Danbatta in a video noted that the NCC has defiled various odds to achieve a lot in line with its responsibility in the telecom industry.
Some of the achievements, the EVC pointed include;
Facilitation of broadband penetration, which has steadily risen.
Conducting spectrum auctions including the Fifth Generation (5G) spectrum
Sensitization of telecom subscribers on how to protect themselves from unwholesome practices by mobile network operators and internet service providers
Unveiling of 622 toll free line for consumers to lay their complaints
Existence of Emergency Communication Centres (ECCs) in 23 states and the FCT, cum introduction of emergency numbers, etc.
