Abia online Media Publishers, the umbrella body for all Online Media Practitioners in Abia State has named House of Representatives Spokesperson and the member Representing Bende Federal Constituency Hon. Barr Benjamin Kalu as Abia Most Outstanding Federal Legislator for the year 2021.
In a statement released by the group, the Award is in recognition of his unequalled achievement within just a few years in the Green chambers which has changed the landscape of his constituency.
As the Spokesperson of the House of representatives, he has shone like a thousand stars and brought back laurels home.
Through his Benjamin Kalu foundation, he has seen myriads of his constituents through school, initiated a talent hunt through sports development and aided many young Bende people to secure federal appointments.
The fact that he is among the highest sponsors of bills in the Green Chambers within just two years in office attests to his legislative sagacity and strong academic background.
He has so far attracted projects worth well over N16b to his constituency and is still as hungry as ever for me as he sees his election as a divine call to redeem his people from several years of neglect.
The Award will be presented to him alongside other Awardees at the Michael Okpara Auditorium on the 19th of Nov. 2021 as part of the activities marking the groups 4-Day Annual General Meeting/Bloggers Week.
According to the planning committee, the 4-Day Bloggers week will commence on Tuesday 16th with the arrival of visiting Bloggers from across the country, a Training Session(17th Nov), a Tour of the Governor’s projects(18th), a media Interactive with the Governor, and the AGM/Awards (19th Nov).
