Singer Tuface baba has said that he has not received any alleged criminal complaint filed against him and 49 others in an Abuja Magistrate Court for their support of the EndSARS protests.
This was disclosed by his manager Efe Omorogbe who described the suit as a mere social media trend.
“𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐭. 𝐖𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫. 𝐖𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧. 𝐖𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝, 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝.
The suit was filed by activist Kenechukwu Okeke who said that the celebrities who promoted the EndSARS protests should be brought to justice.
According to him, properties were destroyed as a result of the protests which the celebrities promoted.
