Mass Burial To Be Conducted For Victims Of Owo Church Massacre On Friday

Forty victims of the Sunday June 5, 2022 massacre that occurred at St. Francis Catholic Church Owo, Ondo State, would be buried on Friday, June 17.

According to the Director of Social Communication, Catholic Diocese of Ondo, Rev. Fr. Augustine Ikwu, the dead victims would be buried at the church’s new cemetery at Emure Road, Owo.

Armed terrorists had invaded the church on Pentecost Sunday releasing explosives and shooting congregants dead while others sustained injury.

The Federal Government of Nigeria few days after the attack, blamed the attack on the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorist organisation.
