Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has ordered the immediate release of 5 months subvention to the Abia State College of Health Science & Management Technology, Aba.

The Governor who made this known in a statement via his official Twitter account on Friday noted that there will be consequences for any misapplication of the funds.

He further stated that his administration will continue to provide the needed support to ailing parastatals.

“In keeping with my earlier promise to address the demands of health workers as well as those of other ailing parastatals, to help them clear their backlog of salaries.

“On my directive, 5 months subvention was released en bloc yesterday to the Abia State College of Health Science & Management Technology, Aba, hoping that the institution’s management will apply it judiciously because there will be consequences for any misapplication of the funds.

“We shall continue to provide the needed support to our ailing parastatals,” he said.
