The All Progressive Congress (APC) has declared Senator Rochas Okorocha, member representing Imo West Constituency as a non-party member.

This was according to Cajetan Duke, the State Publicity Secretary of the APC.

Duke said Okorocha, a former governor of the state deliberately failed to re-validate his membership and as such he remains an outsider.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the management of Imo APC declares that Okorocha, representing Imo West in the Senate is as at the moment, not a member of the APC due to his deliberate failure to re-validate his membership of the occasion over the past registration and re-validation train adjudged to be most clear, open and peaceable.

“It’s due to this fact, odious and excessive subterfuge for anybody to subject assertion indicating that Imo APC, which Okorocha is not a member, has endorsed and handed vote of confidence in him to contest for the presidential ticket of our nice occasion” Duke said in a statement on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
