PDP Set To Honour Former Senate President Adolphus Wabara In Abia | READ WHY & WATCH VIDEO

 

The chairman of the Grand Civic Reception in honour of Senator Adolphus Wabara, Rt Hon Sir Ude Oko Chukwu has described Wabara as an Institution, a statesman and a worthy leader who has contributed his quota to the development of Abia State and Nigeria in general over decades.

The former Deputy Governor of Abia State who stated this during an interaction with the media on Monday 27th May 2024 at his Umuahia residence, went further to reveal the political journey of Wabara from a Councilor, Supervisory Councilor, Chairman of a Local Government Area, Senator and then Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“What people don’t know about is that this man was once a councilor, a supervisory Councilor, Chairman of a Local Government Area and from there he was elected as the Senator Representing Abia South Senatorial District and then Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”

 

“This is the very appropriate time for us to let him know that we appreciate his contribution in Nigeria and in particular the PDP family. We are going to roll out the drums to accord him this great honour through the reception.”

“So, on the 1st of June 2024 at Trade More Event Centre in Umuahia, the National body of PDP will be coming, the Acting National Chairman will be here and the Vice Chairman of Nigerian Governor’s Forum Governor Seyi Makinde will be the Chairman of that event and the Governor of Enugu State Peter Mba will be the host”

The Chairman of the Grand Reception and former Deputy Governor of Abia State Rt Hon Sir Ude Oko, assured that the Central Planning Committee of the event has put everything in place to ensure that Senator Adolphus Wabara is honored in grand style.

 

“On this part of the committees, everything is in top gear and God helping us it, will be an epoch making event”

 

“The main essence for us is to honour him and for us as a party we know we will harness the outcome of the event accordingly. Coincidently, 1st June 2024 Coincides with his 76th birthday celebration and it’s all about honoring him”
