IKE EKWEREMADU’S SAGA: Court Issues Order To Immigration, Banks | READ MORE

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), and three banks to release details of David Ukpo to the detained Senator Ike Ekweremadu.

The banks are; Stanbic-IBTC Bank, United Bank of Africa (UBA), and Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc.

Ukpo is at the centre of the alleged organ harvesting conspiracy involving Ekeremadu and his wife in the UK.

Justice Inyang Ekwo gave the order on Friday, while delivering judgement in a suit filed by the Ekweremadus.

By the court order, all official information including the account opening package in relation to Ukpo are to be released to Senator Ekweremadu to ascertain the real age of Ukpo.

Recall that the couple were arrested following claims by Ukpo that he is 15-year-old, making him a minor. However, the Nigeria Immigration Service had said that Ukpo is 21-year-old.
