A police sergeant identified as Governor Akpoboloukeme on Thursday, November 4, stabbed his colleague, Sergeant Sapele Eyeridideke to death over a ‘minor mis-understanding’ in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The duo who were said to be friends and brothers from Ijaw, were in a wedding ceremony when the deceased made a joke which didn’t augur well with Akpoboloukeme. They engaged in a heated argument and almost fought but for the intervention of others.

The suspect fled the scene attempting to escape to a near by state but was apprehended.
