BREAKING: How Missing Chief Imam Was Found Dead In A Highlander Car

The Chief Imam of Atiba community in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Sheikh Mushafau Bakare, has been found dead in his newly acquired Toyota Highlander after he was declared missing.

The Imam was on Wednesday night, August 11 reportedly kidnapped by unknown gun men.

Relatives abd close associates of the Islamic cleric had raised an alarm that he was kidnapped.

However, in the early hours of Thursday, August 12, his lifeless body was found in his car around the Ikangba area in Odogbolu Local Government Area of the state.

According to reports, his corpse was discovered by police officers attached to Obalende Divisional Police Office, Ijebu Ode.

His cell phone was said to have kept on ringing for hours while the search operations were ongoing.

The state police command is yet to release an official statement on the discovery as at the time of this report.

Meanwhile, Bakare will be laid to rest on Thursday, in the community, according to Islamic rites.
