Operatives of the 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Akure, Ondo State, have arrested two suspected drug traffickers conveying Indian Hemp.
The suspects who were masked and had a pullover camouflage of the Nigerian police, were arrested at Isua Akoko military checkpoint on Monday, August 2 with 50 bags of the illegal drugs.

The suspects; Ezenwa (55) and Stephen (35) were said to be on their way to Abuja to deliver the drugs to one Seriki in a white Toyota Sienna minibus with registration number RBC 334 BG. They reportedly switched the vehicle number plate with a fake Nigeria police vehicle number NPF 1651D.
On behalf of the Brigade Commander, the officer in charge of the provost company at the 32 Artillery Brigade, Major Emontimi Kontei, handed over the suspects with the seized items to the NDLEA
Parading the suspects at the Owena Barracks, Akure, the state capital, on Thursday, August 5, the Provost of the Brigade, Major Emontimi Cleopas, said;
βAt the time of arrest, the suspects were masked and dressed in Nigeria Police pullover. They replaced the original vehicle number plate with fake Nigeria Police vehicle number NPF 1651D and mounted with siren in order to divert attention of security agencies.βThe following items were recovered from them, four mobile phones, wallets and the sum of N148,300 only.β
The suspects have been handed over to the state chapter of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
