How Man Attempting Suici-de Over Debt, Was Rescued In Kano | READ MORE
One Saifullah Rabiu (37), has been rescued by operatives of the Kano State Fire Service, while attempting to commit suici-de by hanging himself on a tree over an alleged N2M debt.
According to a release by Saminu Abdullahi, the spokesman of the Kano State Fire Service, Rabiu was rescued after a distress call was made to the the Central Control Room of the fire service from the Ministry of Works and Housing, Kano State, reporting the incident at the State Road by Nasarawa Emir’s house at about 10:07am on Thursday.
Rabiu was said to have dropped a suicide note, saying that he wants to kill himself over N2 million owed in the process of obtaining a visa.
According to Rabiu, he has been able to repay N500,000, however, the embarrassment from his creditor made him opt for suicid-e.
He has been handed over to the Divisional Crime Officer (D.C.O) Zaharaddini of the Farm Centre Police Division for further investigations.
