President Muhammadu Buhari is now in Maiduguri, Borno state capital for a one day official visit.
During his visit, the President who was received by Governor Babagana Zulum and other top government officials on Thursday morninng is expected to meet Nigerian troops and later commission some projects executed by the Borno state government.
Borno has been under heavy insurgency attacks by Boko Haram in the past years.
However, there appears to be dwindling height in attack in recent weeks in parts of the state and North East region of Nigeria.
