The Abia State National Assembly Liaison Officer, Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, has taken proactive steps to strengthen legislative synergy by engaging with the Clerk of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Yahaya Danzaria, in Abuja.

The visit, which took place at the House of Representatives headquarters, was aimed at fostering institutional cooperation and ensuring the seamless operation of Abia State’s Liaison Office within the National Assembly.

During the meeting, the Abia National Assembly Liaison Officer Hon. Chinasa emphasized the critical role of legislative collaboration in ensuring that Abia State remains well-represented in national governance. He stressed the need for stronger communication channels between the Liaison Office and the House of Representatives to enhance policy implementation, constituency projects, and legislative engagements.

“Our goal is to ensure that Abia State remains strategically positioned in national discussions. A seamless working relationship with the House of Representatives is essential for achieving this,” Hon. Chinasa stated.

He further solicited the Clerk’s goodwill and administrative backing to ensure the smooth execution of the Liaison Office’s mandate.

In response, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria assured the Abia National Assembly Liaison Officer Hon. Chinasa of his full support and commitment to facilitating effective cooperation between Abia’s Liaison Office and the House of Representatives.

“We recognize the importance of a well-coordinated engagement between the National Assembly and state liaison offices. My office remains committed to ensuring that Abia State gets the necessary legislative support for its development agenda,” Dr. Danzaria assured.

This high-level engagement underscores Abia State’s commitment to ensuring active participation in national legislative processes. The Liaison Office serves as a bridge between Abia lawmakers, the state government, and the federal legislature, making its smooth operation vital for policy execution, constituency development, and political representation.

As the state government continues to push for greater legislative collaboration, this meeting marks a significant step towards strengthening institutional relationships for effective governance.
