Governor Otti Using Abia State Funds Well, Says APC’s Ohiri Lewis

APC chieftain Ohiri Lewis commends Governor Alex Otti for his developmental strides in Abia State, citing the governor’s judicious use of state funds. Speaking on Focal Point, Lewis highlighted the importance of supporting governance, unity, and skill acquisition for sustainable progress.

During an online television program, Focal Point, prominent APC chieftain and designer Ohiri O. Lewis shared his observations from his Christmas tour of Abia State. The chieftain commended Governor Alex Otti’s judicious use of Abia State funds, applauding the developmental strides he witnessed across the state.

“Ohiri Lewis is not just a member of the opposition; he is a Nigerian who sees good governance when it happens. Governor Alex Otti is using Abia State funds well, and it’s evident in the progress the state is making. I urge him to continue in this spirit of development to move the state forward,” Lewis remarked during the program.

When asked why he, as a member of the opposition, was praising the governor, Lewis was candid in his response.

“I have eyes and I can see. I don’t need to castigate the governor when he is doing well. This is not election period; it’s time for governance. We need to support the governor to achieve more,” he stated firmly.

Ohiri Lewis emphasized that governance transcends party affiliations, urging all Abians to work together to ensure the state’s progress.

While acknowledging the governor’s successes, Lewis also provided constructive feedback. He advised Governor Otti to focus more on carrying people along in his policies and improving the state’s “stomach infrastructure.”

“While development is important, it’s also crucial to ensure that the basic needs of the people are met. Stomach infrastructure should not be overlooked,” he added.

Ohiri Lewis also used the opportunity to advise Abians to return to skill acquisition, which he described as a hallmark of the state’s industrious identity.

“Abians are known for their skills and entrepreneurial spirit. I encourage everyone to go back to learning skills. This is the foundation of self-reliance and a thriving economy,” he said.

The APC chieftain’s comments reflect a call for unity, constructive criticism, and collective effort to ensure Abia State’s development. Lewis believes that with continued support, Governor Otti’s administration can achieve even greater milestones.
