Focus On Making The Lives Of Aba North People Better – Abia LP Chairman Charge Hon. Destiny Nwagwu
Following the Inauguration of the members of the 8th Abia State House of Assembly, the Labour Party Chairman in the state, Mr Ceekay Igara, has admonished Hon. Destiny Nwagwu, the member representing Aba North state constituency to jettison his personal interests and concentrate on projects and legislations that will better the lives of the people who gave him their mandate.
The Labour party Chairman, gave the charge on Thursday, at the reception held in honour of Hon. Nwagwu in his hometown.
Igara who doubles as the Chairman, Council of Labour Party Chairmen, while speaking at the event, noted that Nwagwu was fortunate to have been found worthy to be adopted into the new change in Abia out of many who contested for the same position as he did.
He advised the lawmaker to strive towards delivering on the people’s mandate and bettering their lives which is the major essence of him being elected, warning that if he fails to prioritize the people of Aba North, he would fail come 2027.
In Igara’s words:
“We are here to thank God for bringing a change into Abia and for giving Aba North an opportunity to make a shift from the way things are done in this state and the country. Fortunately, Destiny Nwagwu is part of that change
“You (Nwagwu) were not the only one who contested for the House of Assembly election. We had several people but the people saw you and said they want a change. What is the essence of that change if not to better their lives . If it is to better their lives and you go there and pursue your personal interest, by 2027, you will fail”.
