Former Minority Whip Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha congratulates Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu on his national honour of Commander Order of the Niger (CON). Ukoha praises Kalu’s outstanding contributions to Nigerian democracy and his innovative legislative work, saying the recognition is well deserved.

 

Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, the former Minority Whip and member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, on his prestigious national honour of Commander Order of the Niger (CON), conferred by President Bola Tinubu. Ukoha described the honour as well deserved, citing Kalu’s exemplary contributions to Nigeria’s democracy.

 

In a statement signed by his media assistant, Chimezie Okoroafor, Hon. Ukoha commended Deputy Speaker Kalu for his outstanding legislative leadership. He remarked that Kalu has significantly advanced the legislative process within the National Assembly, positioning him as a prominent figure in shaping Nigeria’s democratic principles. Ukoha emphasized that Kalu’s commitment to upholding democratic values is both unique and profound, setting a high standard for fellow lawmakers.

 

“His remarkable efforts to promote and uphold the core tenets of democracy in Nigeria are laudable. He has demonstrated a rare level of leadership and excellence in lawmaking, ensuring that his constituents in Bende Federal Constituency and Nigerians at large benefit from his dedicated service,” Ukoha said.

 

The former lawmaker expressed confidence in Deputy Speaker Kalu’s ability to continue delivering exceptional results in his role. He also prayed for God’s continued guidance and wisdom for Kalu as he discharges his duties to his constituents and the nation.

 

Hon. Ukoha’s congratulatory message highlights Kalu’s strong legislative record and impactful contributions to the National Assembly, underscoring why he was deemed worthy of the Commander Order of the Niger honour by President Tinubu.
