The Alumni Body of Enuda High School In Abiriba, Ohafia Local government Area of Abia state, has sought for the support of governor Okezie Ikpeazu on their revamping plans of the institution.
The Alumni was represented by her President, Chief Inem Nwaka during a visit to the governor by a delegation of Abiriba Traditional and Political Leaders led by the Paramount Ruler of Abiriba Kingdom and the Enachoken of Abiriba, Eze Barr. Kalu Kalu Ogbu at the Governor’s lodge in Aba on Sunday.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu noted that the people of Abiriba have been supportive to his administration since 2015, adding that all Abiriba sons and daughters who work with him in different areas of government have been very exemplary and trustworthy.
The Governor stated that he won’t have any hesitation at all in appointing Abiriba indigenes into high positions because they are dedicated and hardworking.
Making a presentation to the governor at the meeting, Inem Nwaka who doubles as a representative of the Abiriba Communal Improvement Union, Lagos Branch, Chief Nwaka Inem requested that Governor Ikpeazu assist Enuda High School whose lands have been encroached on.
Other requests made by the Alumni Body include; an approval to commence renovation and renewal of the school, an invitation on His Excellency, to come and flag off the reconstruction.
While reacting on the rehabilitation and redesign of the Enuda High School, Abiriba, the Governor said that he won’t stand against any such request and assured that he would carefully study the documents presented and revert in a matter of days.
