TRA-GIC: UNIZIK Student Trying To Collect Sim Card From Robbers, Dies | PHOTO\ DETAILS
One Daniel, a 200-level student of Philosophy Department in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka (UNIZIK) in Anambra state, has given up the ghost after sustaining a gunshot injury during a robbery attack.
Armed robbers had on Sunday invaded Success lodge, Ifite. Reports says the robbers shot Daniel in the stomach as he attempted to retrieve his SIM Card from his phone which the robbers collected.
He was rushed to a hospital but did not make it as he lost excess blood. Daniel was said to have returned to school for the session same day of the incident.
The Anambra state police command while reacting on Monday to the incident via its Twitter handle noted that police patrol has been on while calling on witnesses to give available information to help the police nab the criminals.
