The world football governing body FIFA, has celebrated the Super Falcons of Nigeria for their historic 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
However, the Super Falcons cemented their legendary status in a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over hosts Morocco on Saturday.
The final at the Stade Olympique in Rabat saw Nigeria trailing 2-0 at halftime the Super Falcons, under the guidance of coach Justin Madugu, orchestrated an unforgettable second-half comeback.

The performance by the Super Falcons was so good that FIFA could not but acknowledge the sheer brilliance of coach Justin Madugu-led side.

A decade of dominance
Nigeria has now won 10 out of 13 WAFCON editions.
During the championship in Morocco, Nigeria dominated the individual accolades, with Rasheedat Ajibade named the tournament’s MVP and Chiamaka Nnadozie crowned Best Goalkeeper.
