Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him by the Federal Government.

Kanu was arraigned today, October 21, 2021, at the Federal High Court in Abuja on 7 count charges as amended, bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism.

The presiding Judge, justice Binta Nyako, failed to grant Kanu’s request to be transferred to a correctional centre after he pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Nyako ordered that he continue to stay in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The case was adjourned till November 10, 2021.
