Chief Charles Nwangwa praises Governor Alex Otti for his strategic handling of security issues in Abia State, emphasizing the governor’s proactive leadership and assurance for successful local government elections.
Chief Lawrence Charles Nwangwa (AKAJIUGO), an industrialist and influential political figure in Abia State, has lauded Governor Alex Otti for his effective and strategic handling of recent security challenges in the state.
In an exclusive interview with All Facts Newspaper from his vacation home in England, Chief Nwangwa highlighted the Governor’s proactive steps, including direct engagement with security leadership and hands-on management, as key factors in addressing the security issues arising from attacks on security operatives in Aba and other areas.
“While security has deteriorated in many states due to ineffective governance and the demoralization of security personnel, Abia State stands out. Governor Otti has consistently taken decisive actions, providing support and motivation to the security forces,” Nwangwa remarked.
He emphasized that these measures have assured the security forces of the government’s unwavering support. “Governor Otti and his team deserve recognition for their dedication,” he added.
Chief Nwangwa also noted the positive reputation Abians enjoy abroad, attributing it to Dr. Alex Otti’s exemplary performance. “In the UK, people are eager to connect with you when they learn you’re from Abia. Governor Otti’s achievements have become a source of pride for Abians in the diaspora,” he said.
Addressing the upcoming Local Government Area election, Chief Nwangwa reassured Abians of a successful and fair process. “There is no need for concern. Governor Alex Otti is committed to the rule of law, and I can assure Ndi Abia that the election will proceed smoothly, with the best candidates emerging to support the Governor and advance the state’s development,” he concluded.
Chief Nwangwa, who also holds the title of Justice of the Peace and AGBAWO DIKE IZU of OHANEZE NDIGBO WORLDWIDE, made these remarks while attending the IRIJI Festival of the Igbo Union in Northampton, England. He used the occasion to promote Governor Alex Otti’s vision and the Labour Party’s programs, not only for Abia State but for the broader Igbo community.
