The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory on Monday, September 28 reportedly awarded N50 million against Elisha Abbo, the senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in Adamawa State at the National Assembly, for assaulting a lady at a s-ex toy shop a couple of months ago.

In July 2020, a Magistrate Court in Zuba, Abuja, struck out the assault case instituted against Abbo (PDP-Adamawa North) by the Nigeria Police Force, AFNNews recalls.

Recall that senator Abbo was caught in a viral video in March 2019 assaulting a woman, Osimibibra Warmate, of which he later apologised to the victim over the indecent act in a televised press conference.

However, following a magistrate’s court ruling which found the senator not guilty of criminal assault, reports reaching AFNews this morning revealed that the Abuja High Court demanded that Mr Abbo should pay N50 million to Osimibibra Warmate, the woman he assaulted on camera.
