Bauchi First Lady vows to end maternal deaths

Bauchi First Lady vows to end maternal deaths and to empowers 3,000 women in the state to venture into different skills and acquisition in the state.

The wife of the governor of Bauchi state, Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed has vowed to continue to support the administration of her husband in its resolve to end maternal and neonatal mortality in the state.

Aisha Bala Mohammed gave the assurance while declaring open, a three day workshop for journalists organized by The Challenge Initiative, Nigeria on Wednesday at chartwell hotel, Bauchi.

Mrs Bala who rolled out some of her interventions in the areas of health to include free medical screening for over 3000 women in Misau LGA in collaboration with Fidelity Bank, sickle cell screening for 300 children and Malaria screening for over 500 people in Buachi state among others.

She also stated that her office will continue to give the needed support towards providing quality health care services to women and children.
