The All Progressives Grand Alliance Candidate [APGA] for Arochukwu Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly Dr. Mike Ukoha has called on the church to always pray for those in leadership of trust in a bid to serve the people better.
Dr. Mike Ukoha who made the call during his church service at Ututu Community, hinted that the church as an institution ordained by God has a role to play in the fight against immoral behaviors as witnessed in our society today maintaining that with the concerted efforts or the church in their fervent prayer, things will be better again in Nigeria.
The APGA House Candidate used the medium to solicit the support of the church through prayers in the forthcoming election so as to enable him come out victorious at the poll come March 9th, 2019, while maintaining that our present leaders in the State do not meant well for the people and call on them to vote out those people who do not want their betterment.
He regretted the high level of poverty in the State which he attributed to poor leadership quality on the part of the present led government, promising to join forces with the party’s gubernatorial candidate Dr. Alex Otti to bring development to the grass root and urged the church to remain steadfast in their prayers.
In his sermon at the Presbyterian Church Nigeria Obiene Ututu Parish, Reverend Ugorji Udensi prayed God to see him through in political journey so as to better the society for the people’s welfare.
Correspondents report that some of the churches visited include the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Ukwuakwu Ututu, The Presbyterian Church Amaodu and that of Obiene, Christ Apostolic Church Nkpakpi Ututu among others even as prayers were offered to the Candidate and his entourage at the Church services.
