The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji on Sunday worshipped at Power World Ministries International, Umuahia.
Speaking at the church’s Thanksgiving service, the Speaker said he was delighted to worship in the church for the first time having heard so much of the wondrous manifestations of God’s power through her Founder and Senior Pastor, Rev Uche Ume, and after previous invitations in the past.
The Speaker said he resolved to worship with the Ministry today based on the invitation sent to him having not been able to honour previous invitations.
He applauded Rev Ume for obeying the divine call of being a priest in the Lord’s vineyard, especially to the youths, saying the man of God’s impact has been truly felt positively in the society because many of the youths, through his works, will remain on the course of righteous living. He therefore urged him not to relent in offering spiritual and fatherly counsel to his congregation, and pray for them always.
Finally, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji prayed God to continue to bless and keep Rev Uche Ume and his wife in good health even as God continue to use them for greater exploits.
Responding, Rev Uche Ume thanked the Speaker for coming to worship with them even though he took them by surprise with his presence.
He prayed that God will continue to bless the Speaker in all his endeavours.
Preaching earlier, Rev Uche Ume who took his lead reading from Psalm 100 said there is no special reason for anyone to have before thanking God as the gift of life alone from the Almighty is enough to thank Him. He said Thanksgiving to God opens doors to blessings and urged all never to relent in thanking God no matter the situation.
Abia born gospel artiste, Buchi Atuonwu of the “It is Well” fame thrilled the congregation with some of his hit gospel songs.
