The honorable member representing Etinan/Nsit Ibom/ Nsit Ubium Federal constituency in the federal house of representative has emerged as one of the 125 man delegate selected from 65 countries of the world by the government of the United States for the International Visitor Leadership Programme of the United States Department of State billed to take place in Washington DC.
Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke made this known via a post on his social media handle.
Based on the post, he revealed that during the programme they will be looking into issues related to democracy, human right, counter terrorism, regional stability, public diplomacy and a lot more.
He assured his constituents that the knowledge from this programme will impact positively on his capacity to deliver on his mandates.
In his social media post he says:
“I am honoured to be nominated by the Government of the United States of America to join other 125 delegates from 65 countries of the world for the International Visitor Leadership Programme of the United States Department of State. I look forward to harnessing the benefits of this 80year old tradition of the United States Department of States in bringing together emerging leaders across the world to participate in projects focused on themes spanning democracy, human rights, counter terrorism, regional stability, public diplomacy and global economic growth with an isolated emphasis for my grouping on engaging youths in the political process. The resources of network and information gathered in the IVLP will help build on improved leadership system to enhance the objectives of my legislative agenda for Etinan/Nsit Ibom/ Nsit Ubium Federal constituency in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria”. #AmazingGrace #IVLP
