ABIA: Tragedy as Tanker Crushes 3 Keke Tricycles In Fatal Road Crash

A fatal accident involving a water tanker and three tricycles popular known as Keke took place this evening in umuahia the Abia State capital.

According to eye witness report, the accident happened in Umuagu Ibeku close to Vinan pet filling station Umuagu Ibeku, a few minutes to 7pm, the News Gazette Online gathered that the tanker driver who was speeding recklessly and allegedly under the influence of alcohol ran into the three tricycle as they slowed down to navigate through some potholes in a bad portion of the road when the tanker driver who couldn’t control his speeding ran into them, as at the time of filing this report no life has been reportedly lost but all the occupants of the tricycle have been admitted in a hospital over different degrees of injuries sustained during the accident.

A man who gave his name simply as Sunday who witnessed the accident told our reporter that the tanker driver who ran away as soon as the accident happened was notorious for over speeding and drunk driving.
