ABIA: Alex Otti Pays Condolence Visit To Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika On The Demise Of His Cousin
Dr. Alex Otti, the Abia state governorship candidate of the Labour Party on Tuesday 8th November 2022 visited Lieutenant General Azubuike Ihejirika (retd), former Chief Of Army Staff to condole with him over the demise of his cousin, Chief Madukwe Onyeabor.
Speaking during the visit at Ovim community in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of the state, Otti described the late Onyeabor as a good man who was upright in his doings. He expressed optimism that judging from Onyeabor’s way of life when he was still on earth, his transition has brought joy in heaven.
“Given what I know that he stood for, I have no doubt that with his transition to glory, that he will be received warmly” Otti said.
He charged the family of the deceased to take solace in God and not weep like unbelievers even though that the death of a loved one is painful.
Responding on behalf of the family, Lieutenant General Azubuike Ihejirika (retd), expressed gratitude to the governorship hopeful whom he described as his brother and bosom friend for suspending his activities to visit his family within one week of the demise of his cousin.
He described his late cousin as a selfless man adding that Otti and his entourage’s visit would go a long way in consoling the family.
Alex Otti’s entourage includes, Kenneth Ahia SAN, Labour Party Abia North Senatorial Candidate Chief Nnamdi Iro, Labour Party House of Representative candidate for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency Chief Amobi Ogah and other party leaders , stakeholders in Isuikwuato LGA.
