NEO street constructed in honour of late Prince Nwojo Egbebu Osiri, has been commissioned in Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
The street which was commissioned on Friday, December 31, 2021 was solely constructed by Prince Julius Nwojo Osiri to commemorate the 7th year anniversary of his late father.
Speaking to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, the Guest of Honour, Dr. Emeka Wogu CON, former minister for labour and productivity, described the project as a total display of the Igbo spirit of self-development.
“It shows the Igbo spirit of self-development. Abiriba is a typical example of where sons and daughters built their community to the extent it is.”
He lauded the people of Abiriba for not waiting for government’s intervention but took it upon themselves to develop their community to a large extent.

“This is commendable, this is nice, it is a big achievement for the community.”
Wogu charged others to contribute their own quota and assist the government in the development of the society.
On his own part, the host, Prince Julius credited the stride to trust in God, hard work and prayers.
“What everyone is seeing here today, is the spirit of an Abiriba man. If you don’t do much you can do a little, but every Abiriba man wants to impact on his environment.”
He also advised youths not to wait for the government but see how they can help even as they continue to hold the government accountable.
Speaking on why he commissioned the street in honour of his late father;
“My father left the best legacy for me. Everything you see here is as a result of extensive prayers and I hold that in high esteem. My father was my first pastor, my father was my best friend. He may not really have left money for me, but he showed me how to get into the spirit realm and get this money; that is by prayer”.
Other dignitaries at the event include; HRH Kanu Kanu Ogbu, Enachioke of Abiriba; Honorable Uko Nkole, member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency in the National Assembly; Chief Charles Ochu Ejieke (Akwaugo 1 of Abiriba); clergymen, among others.
Highlight of the event was the cutting of the ribbon, dedication of the new road and house.
