Abia LP Chairman, Ceekay Igara Receives Obingwa Stakeholders , Harps On Effective Leadership
The Abia State Labour Party Chairman, Mr. Ceekay Igara, on Wednesday, received stakeholders of Obingwa Local Government Area chapter of the party, at the party’s state secretariat in Umuahia.
Addressing the stakeholders led by their chairman, Comrade Udo Amakwe, Igara who doubles as the Chairman, Council of Labour Party Chairmen, charged them to diligently carry out their constitutional duties of supervising party activities in the Local government and offering advice where necessary for the continued growth of the party.
He charged the stakeholders to approach the state level of the party in the face of any challenge they fail to handle, assuring that it will be adequately addressed.
“what you are expected to be doing is advisory and supervisory. where things are not going well, call us” Igara charged.
He reminded the stakeholders that they are bound by the party’s constitution not to contest for LGA chairmanship, ward chairmanship, or any other position.
“Any stakeholder who calls for a meeting in his or her house would be suspended” the chairman added.
Igara further noted that it is the vision of the Labour Party to do things right and not go against laid down rules and regulations.
Present were members of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the Abia Labour Party, the 11 Obingwa LGA ward chairmen and their women leaders.
