Abia Labour Party Chairman, Ceekay Igara Appreciates Abians For Their Support | READ DETAILS

Mr Ceekay Igara, the Abia State Labour Party Chairman, has appreciated the entire Abians for their support and trust on the party and the brand new governor of the state, His Excellency, Dr Alex Otti, OFR.

The Chairman in his Thank you message after the inauguration of the governor and his deputy, Engineer Ikechukwu Emetu on Monday, mAY 29, 2023, lauded everyone for trooping out in their numbers despite the rains to witness the ceremony.

He called on Abians to continue giving support to Labour Party in the state and the administration of Dr Alex Otti “so that all the promises made by the governor will be realised in the shortest possible time.”

Igara also charged oppositions to allow the new governor concentrate on providing Abians with dividends of democracy and not distract him unnecessarily.

The state chairman’s appreciation message, titled;

I want to thank Abians on behalf of our new governor, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Barrister Julius Abure, and all members of the National Working Committee, the State Working Committee members and all the 10 states chairmen that visited us.

I want to thank all Abians and friends of Abia for the overwhelming support; for their exhibition of trust which they showed by defying the rains to come and witness  the inauguration of a brand new governor, Dr Alex Otti. I thank you all, and pray that this level of solidarity should be sustained through out his tenure.

I encourage Abians to continue to give us support so that all the promises made by His Excellency, Dr Alex Otti, on behalf of Labour Party, Abia state, will be realised in the shortest possible time.

I encourage the opposition to allow the new governor to concentrate on the issue of the state craft in other to deliver the expected dividends to Abians . I want to thank the Almighty God who has made today a reality and I pray that He will take everybody to our respective destinations.

I am most elated with the presence of His Eminence, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Emir of Kano State. I was also elated by the presence of several other people; Our Statesman, His Excellency, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe (retd), Prof. Barth Nnaji, His Excellency Rotimi Amaechi, members of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Abia state, and several other people that participated in this epoch making event. I ask God to bless everyone that contributed in one way or the other in making this event a success and I pray God Almighty to endow our new governor, the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state and to bring the needed change all to the Glory of God the Most High.
