The Abia State Government says it will continue to create safe and conducive environment for the Journalism profession to thrive in the State.
Commissioner for Information Chief John Okiyi Kalu who disclosed this when he received the Publisher and Editor in Chief of All Facts Newspaper Mr. Emenike Iroegbu and Mr Chuks Isaiah in Umuahia Congratulated them on the successful production of the maiden hard copy Edition of the Newspaper.
Chief Okiyi Kalu said the transition of Abia Fact News to All Facts Newspaper shows consistency and progress and commended the publisher of All Facts Newspaper Mr. Emenike Iroegbu for exhibiting the “Can do Spirit”which Abians are known for.
The Information Boss noted that the Government does not believe in muscling the press and advised them to remove political bias from their reportage but make excellence,fairness and interest of the masses their watchword at all times.
Chief Okiyi Kalu further appreciated the quality of the editorials and reportage of All Facts Newspaper and pledged the support and partnership of the State government with the paper in the development of the State.
He restated the determination of the State government in ensuring Security of lives and properties of Abia residents and urged them not to give prominence to enemies of the State who want to create State of anarchy and endanger the lives of the people.
Earlier while presenting Copies of All Facts Newspaper to the commissioner,the Editor-in-Chief, Mr Chuks Isaiah said the Newspaper was published to fill the information gap and to give voice to the voiceless in the society and solicited the support and partnership of the commissioner in serving the people with the latest information at all times.
He assured that the paper will remain unbiased in its reportage and thanked Chief Okiyi Kalu for receiving them.
