Abia State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, on Saturday convened a crucial stakeholders meeting in Umuahia, signaling the party’s renewed strategy to reposition itself for victory ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, which was held at the APC State Secretariat, brought together top party stakeholders, influential political actors, LGA executives, and members of the State Working Committee, marking one of the most strategic APC gatherings since the 2023 elections.
Speaking at the event, Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President, Hon. Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, delivered a strong message to the party, stressing that unity, loyalty, and internal discipline are the only tools that can guarantee APC’s success in 2027.
According to Ukwa, the party must avoid the mistakes of the past, close existing ranks, and build a united front capable of challenging all elective offices across Abia State.
“No political party succeeds where division thrives. If APC must win in 2027, we must stay united in peace and love. I will continue to support the party at the ward, local government, state, and national levels,” Ukwa assured.
Ukwa’s presence at the meeting added political weight to the gathering, as he encouraged members to work collectively and support the leadership of Dr. Ononogbu.
