The Abia state governorship standard bearer of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Prof Gregory Ibe was on Saturday 14 January 2023 among the candidates who received symbolic victory flags at the national campaign flag-off of the party.

During the colourful ceremony which took place in Awka, other victorious candidates of the party from the 36 states of the federation were also handed flags.

Receiving the victory flag from the APGA National Chairman Ozonkwu Victor Oye, Prof Ibe who was represented by his campaign organization, Director- General Barr Longman Nwachukwu, vowed to “sustain the currently ongoing people-focused campaign across the 184 wards of Abia that is geared towards turning the state to APGA”.

He therefore enjoined Abians to ensure collection of their Permanent Voter Cards to enable them participate in the change process that will lead to the emergence of a brand new Abia, stressing that “the die is now cast and there is no going back on the crusade to deliver Abia state from underdevelopment”.

Correspondents report that the national flag-off rally witnessed massive torn out of APGA faithful from across the nation and were hosted by Anambra state governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo and members of the party’s National Working Committee.
