The Abia State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Prof. Gregory Ibe has dismissed reports that he is not physically fit to man the affairs of the state.
Ibe in his response to a question concerning his health raise by a journalist during the commissioning of his campaign office in Umuahia, said, “You’ve been with me since morning from Owerri airport, and now in Umuahia, you should be able to say for yourself”
Speaking further during the commissioning, the Chancellor, Gregory University Uturu stated that the campaign office further validates his preparedness to take over the governance of the state, come 2023 governorship election.
“We have shown that we are prepared to take over the governance of the state and give Abians the much needed leadership. and we will not stop until we effect the needed change and make Abia to recon with the league of state that are developed”
Answering question on the crisis being witnessed by the party in the state, Ibe noted that leadership tussle is like a mirage which comes and after fizzles out, maintaining that there is no crisis in the party as INEC had published the names of Victor Oye as the National Chairman and Rev. Augustin Ehiemere as the State Chairman.
On his part, the State Chairman, Ehiemere reaffirmed that that there’s no crisis in the party but only individuals that are sponsored to disorganize the party.
